WOYWW - Slightly Less Chaos

Well, hello lovelies.  It's Wednesday and I am attempting to participate in What's On Your Workdesk Wednesday.

The mother of all WOYWWs  (and a list of participants) can be found at

http://stamping-ground.blogspot.co.uk

if you'd like a peek at some other desks...

Mine is slightly less chaotic this week, but only because I have moved the magazines into A Magazine Rack of all things!!!  We'll see how that goes...

I have been shoving aside piles to make a little hole to craft in and this table is over Six Feet Long.  Oh dear.  The spaces I had made now contain the remnants of an emergency Mother's day Cardmaking session with the kids and a stolen Floral Punchcraft moment on Sunday.  I must find time to tidy up again.

Centre stage this week are a few practice impressions I made of my Stampin Up Sale-a-bration Lotus stamp set.  It's a multi - step stamping technique and I decided to see which combinations of my 36 new Memento ink pads (yay) looked best.

If you would like to see my picks so far, click the photo to enlarge it.

That's all for this week... go over to stamping ground and see what everyone else has been up to!

WOYWW, Chaos Edition!

It would be easier to say what's not on my desk this Wednesday.  Things that were spread all over the craft room had been moved out of the way to accommodate the guest bed for my father-in-law.  A lot of it went on to my workspace.  Now I'm trying to pack for a crafty weekend away and it's only going to get worse.

Let's see... What is actually on my desk?  I know that somewhere under there is my son's scrapbook that he started of his trip to Barcelona.  There's a little plastic tub with die cuts in it.  Closer to the top layer is a stack of Craft magazines, some with the freebies still attached.

I've been perching stacks of other things to pack on the table as well, but most of my packing us done now.   A few more things to go, then I'll be ready to go.

Next week, I hope that I can have some time to make it workable again.

Thanks everyone who commented last week!  I will make the time to come and visit you in return.  Happy Wednesday!

WOYWW: Time warp!

This week's  WOYWW should probably be called WWOYWLW. Because instead of What's on your work desk Wednesday, it's  What Was On Your Work desk Last Wednesday!

I have been making a lot of papercraft projects which have resulted in lots of conveniently sized scraps for die cutting,  so I took out my little Sidekick and just cut a whole bunch of whatever.  My favourite are the little blue birdies.  I cut them out of scraps that were already scored and I thought I wouldn't be able to  cut anything out of them.  Luckily, the birdies  were small enough to fit between the score lines and rendered these scraps very useful indeed!

If you would like to join in with WOYWW,  go to http://stamping-ground.blogspot.co.uk and add your entry into the linky.  :)  Check out everyone else sharing their Wednesday scenes.

What's on My Work desk Wednesday

I'm finally getting round to posting one of these!  I do believe there is someone I'm supposed to tag in this entry but I can't  remember the name or URL and I'm  actually  posting this from under the duvet.

On my work desk this week, I have a SIPIDI  (see it, pin it, do it) which is also a first for me!  I have done things I've seen on Pinterest before though, so I guess maybe not.  But this time it will get a tag. :)

Anyhoo, the SIPIDI in question is a box card.  The box part is four pieces of accordion folded card lovingly merged together.  In these examples, there's no embellishment and all I did besides cut, score and stick was inking the edges of just about everything with Distress Inks and punch out a border for inside the box card.  If you want to add a ribbon to this project, I recommend sticking it down under the paper layers.  It looks nice.

I am filling these with chocolate. :)
