FPC Friday - Fuchsia

If you know my mother-in-law, don't tell her you've seen this. It's her birthday card... or maybe her Mother's Day card. I'm not entirely sure yet. I'd like to get it out of my house before any harm comes to it, if I'm honest...

This is Flower 17 from Book 2. I matted the flowers on a circle punched round the edge with a Fiskars Circle Border punch. I haven't used that in a while, so chalk up another piece of under-used craft supplies brought back into regular use!

Cocktail Invites

I thought I'd share something that's not scrapbooking, crochet or Floral Punch Craft with you. It's a rarity, but I am actually still making cards. This is one of four invitations to my birthday drinks and meal.

Paper: For the bg paper, I used a pad that came free with a magazine. It's good paper and I like what the designer does with shading.

Stamps: The Party Time stamp is a very very old Anita's stamp that I have un-mounted, so I can't be entirely sure of the make... I think it was an Anita's one that I bought at Artbase when they had a shop in Lakeside. The cocktails stamp is from Bombshell Stamps, from a set called Tiki Party. It's a great set, I've used it quite a lot for various things. I love their stuff!

Die-cuts: Wendy let me borrow her Nesties. I don't use them myself, so I asked her if she would kindly cut me an oval out of white and a scalloped oval. I also nicked a "scrap" (it was huge!) of Bazzill Bling from her scraps box. It was the perfect colour! Thanks, Wendy!!!

This week, I am working on 32 party bags for my son's birthday. he will be bringing them to school as goodie bags for his classmates. Nothing super-expensive-- the lot came from the 99p shop and the bulk of it is sweets-- just a little something for his friends. Perhaps I'll post pics on Thursday. That will be a week before they're due to be given out. If I finish them by then I will be proud of myself! I am usually the queen of procrastination.

Speaking of procrastination, I have so much of it to do right now it's piling up and pinning me to the sofa!

Scrapology Challenge for March

Two months in a row? Who'd have thought it?

I love sketches, and this month's was no exception. I even wanted to try my own take on the "shabby chic" style, which I never really could get my head round. I am pleased with the result!!

Sorry for my absence on Wednesday. Truth is, I thought I had already blogged enough squares to take me through. Oops.

Here is your reward: A crochet post without a square in it!!! Yes, I have been making... *gasp* Other Things!!!! I know, right? Madness!

FPC Friday - Santa's Sack Flowers

Remember the Water Lilies? The petals were cut from a punch that started out as a Santa Claus carrying a sack of toys. These toy sacks were cut out as well and laid aside, because nothing is wasted that way. I took them and made Flower 10 from Book 2.

FPC Friday - A Spray for Carnations

These flowers are meant to be arranged with some larger flowers. I haven't quite got the Carnation mastered yet, but look out for it. I will probably be including some of these along with it.

Deja Vu on the Deja Vu.... :) This square marks the end of my current shipment. Hopefully, as you are reading this, I am happily working up the next few! I'm hoping I can put some more squares together soon. It would be nice to have half a throw all put together.

FPC Friday - A flower from the sun

This one is called "A flower from the Sun," probably because it is made mainly with a sun punch. These were quick to make and they are quite effective. Love them!
