Ah, here we are. This square looks like the one I did when I was approximately a quarter of the way through, or so I thought. This will make up the second of four central squares in the throw. It's a granny square made with full rows of trebles instead of clusters of three and spaces. I find this one challenging but I think it came out better than number 18. Click the crochet tag and find 18 and you'll see what I mean. I do like making this type of square so I may try again and who knows- I may even make something out of squares like this one day.
In other crochet news, I'm halfway finished with the second of the two mystery objects I am giving my mother-in-law for Christmas. Sorry, can't say. Only my husband knows. I loved making this particular project, also from The Art of Crochet partwork. I will be diving into my growing pattern library to make hats for the kids again this year. For my son, a purple one to match his uniform (I am lucky to still have plenty of purple for that one due to the Great Sweater Disaster of 2009!) and for little one, pink and other leftover bits will hopefully make a fun and whimsical hat. I look forward to a little stash- busting.
