Why not?

I've been clicking around and I found the Tilda (Magnolia) challenge blog. Being Sunday, I looked at the weekly challenge and I quite liked it, so I decided to give it a go. Here it is:
I tend to be quite literal when I follow sketches, so for me, this is a deviation.

The scalloped border is direct-to-paper technique with a chalk cat's eye pad. The circle is Pergamano.

The window stamp is Express Services, and Tilda with Cake is in the window.

i think the decoupage completes the card and the colours make it pop out even more.

Wow, thanks! I wasn't expecting to get comments! I forced mamaminky to do it so I could have a link to her blog! :) I must take the time to check out everyone else's cards too. I will, I promise :)

This is beautiful! Love how you have made the scalloped edge!xx

Thanks, Arline :)

The scalloped edge is a bit of a cheat... I used a white versamagic pad and a journaling stamp to get the scalloped edge. Then I followed the scallops with the half-circle tool. I was going to use the 2-split to perforate the edge but in the end I decided to cut outside of the white stamped line.

I love the idea of the scalloped border with a cats' eye. I'll pinch that idea if you don't mind. The whole card looks stunning!

Thanks for your kind comments on my blog! I painted with distress inks just using my water brush! My friend showed me how to do it as she had seen a great tutorial on someone's blog-I shall ask her if she still has the link anywhere and if so I shall send it to you! Hope that helps!xx
